Our client, located in the suburban Chicago area is seeking a Director of Quality Assurance to establish QC objectives and best practices in its Accounting and Auditing Services Practice. The QC Director will be responsible for providing firm wide guidance on audit approaches and will stay current with industry specific accounting and auditing requirements to assure compliance with professional and firm standards.
The individual will develop a quality control approach to everything the firm does with respect to serving its clients in the delivery of outstanding accounting, tax and consulting services. This position will also be responsible for conducting accounting and auditing research to support firm compliance with professional standards, assist partners and managers in developing audit plans to manage and control risk, develop in-house training materials, and for keeping staff current on recent developments in the profession.
The incumbent will provide team leadership, facilitate market expansion and help determine the future direction of the firm. Must have 7+ years of prior management experience and an advanced degree would be a plus. Leading candidates will be a CPA with current experience in a public accounting environment and have solid technical skills. The ability to manage multiple projects is critical to the success of this position, as well as possessing superior interpersonal skills.

Position: Operations Manager

Our client is in the business of providing specialized payroll solutions to the corporate marketplace for high volume
garnishment administration. The company is located in downtown Chicago, is growing and profitable, and is seeking a
talented, highly motivated, senior level individual for a full-time Operations Manager position.
The position will report to the President of the Company and requires a well-rounded individual to provide strong
leadership to assist in directing the company for growth and financial strength. The position will be involved with
all aspects of the company including present and future business strategies. Toward this end the incumbent takes a very
active role in the management of the business with the President. The President relies heavily on the incumbent for
input on the profitable operations of the business.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the following:
The Operations Manager will coordinate the full range of accounting and budgetary processes for the
Company. The Manager will ensure the efficient and effective operations of all of the tasks necessary to accomplish the
company’s business and client service objectives and has overall responsibility for Accounting Department functions and
ensures that all accounting and budget activities are performed in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles and in compliance with all regulatory and tax requirements. The position ensures accurate and timely
preparation of its financial reports and is responsible for all financial reporting.

The Manager will maintain and safeguard all corporate accounting systems and supporting data and is responsible for
many of the Company’s administrative areas including the oversight of the human resources function of the company.

Be responsible for all accounting functions including daily disbursement entries, month end reporting, bank
reconciliations, bank wire transfers, and data transfer from the company’s technology systems.

Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate compilation, analysis and
reporting of accounting data.

Establish, document and implement internal controls and participate in the conversion of accounting and technology
software.

Supervise the disbursement and clerical staff, providing decision-making and oversight to activities related to cost
and general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and taxes. Provide leadership and guidance to
staff for professional development.

Prepare annual operating budgets.
-
Ensure the accurate preparation of year-end final account reconciliations and prepare the annual financial statements.

With the President, ensure legal compliance across the Company’s functions, with particular attention devoted to
contractual and lease administration activities.

Work in tandem with the President to direct the day-to-day operations of the company.

Maintain a working relationship between all departments.

Develop and maintain relationships with banking partners.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance degree and is a CPA. Additionally,
applicants should have at least 7 years of relevant work experience, including three to five years of hands on
operations experience (Strong preference for experience with privately held middle market accounting). Prior payroll
related or human resources management experience is desirable.
The successful candidate must possess the following:

Accounting background with computer literacy in Microsoft Suite and QuickBooks Excellent analytical expertise and
demonstrated problem-solving skills

Position: Intake Associate

garnishment administration. The company is located in downtown Chicago, is growing and profitable, and is seeking an
individual to perform the role of an Intake Associate.
This position performs the administrative activities and functions of the Intake processing area of the Garnishment
Administration area of the business. The Intake Associate handles garnishment documents and makes the appropriate
decisions to evaluate, enter tracking data and properly record critical information into the clients tracking system.
This individual exercises judgment and makes decisions about various garnishment administrative matters. The work of
the Intake Area is critical to the smooth and timely processing of garnishments by the Withholding Area of the business.
The position will report to a Supervisor and requires fast and accurate data entry skills. The successful candidate
must possess the following:
- At least a 2 year Associate Degree is required; a Bachelors Degree is preferred
- At least six months work experience in a professional office environment
- Ability to exercise initiative and make sound, independent judgments in dealing with confidential matters.

Computer background with literacy in Microsoft Office, databases, analytical logic and demonstrated problem-solving
skills

Proven ability to work alone and exercise initiative and possess the flexibility to contribute as part of a team and
to expand position responsibilities in the face of changing priorities.

Excellent oral communications skills to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally in person and by telephone.
