"Dae"
is another product of the renowned Chicago Dawes
Park baseball program where he has played since
the age of 5 and has baseball in his genes with
two older brothers who played semi-pro ball. "Dae"
is a natural hitter with lightning fast hands
and a compact explosive swing who hits for power
when ever he is at the plate. With a bat in his
hands he is absolutely lethal! On the base paths
he has outstanding presence and speed. As a ten
year old he played for the Dawes Park Monarchs
who were the elite team and the 10 year old AFC
Champions. Notable players on this team with Bowden
were Dominique Bell, Angelo Burrage, Frank Gowder
and John Mason.
During
the summer of 2003 Bowden was a "Golden Glove"
in Center Field for the Dawes Park Monarchs and
hit clean-up slamming 10 big home runs. The Monarchs
with Bell, Bowden, Burrage, Gowder and Mason were
a lock to advancing to the 12 year old AFC Championship
game but lost to the Stars team which included
Clubber teammate Ryan Williams. We are very pleased
to welcome "Dae" to the 2004 Clubber
team and view him as one more franchise player
who will be a big run producer and helping us
score Big Time!
Bowden
attends Betty Shabazz International Charter School
where he is a top student and is a member of the
Panthers basketball team where he plays Small

In
July 2003 Frank Gowder joined the Clubbers, and
was recognized as a key ingredient to the future
of the team. At 5'-10" Gowder's "panther
like" speed and outstanding power were immediately
evident when he hit consecutive back to back home
runs in two tournament games played in the August
2003 Thillens 12 year old tournament, earning
him a spot in the Thillens Baseball Hall of Fame.
Frank demonstrated his value as a power Pitcher
and Catcher during the 2003 Fall Suburban Power
League Season. Gowder will also play 3rd Base, Shortstop, and Outfield positions.
Prior
to joining the Clubbers, Frank played for the
Dawes Park Monarchs. As a 10 year old player on
this team, the Monarchs were the Dawes Park AFC
Champions. Notable players on the Monarchs with
Frank were Dominique Bell, "Dae" Bowden,
Angelo Burrage, and John Mason.
During
the summer of 2003 the Monarchs with Bowden, Burrage,
Gowder and Mason played for the AFC League 12
year old Championship but lost to the Stars team
which included Clubber teammates Christian Hickman,
Chris Mason and Ryan Williams.
Gowder
opened the 2004 season predicting in the dugout
to his Clubber teammates that he would hit the
first pitch for a Homerun! "Impossible is
Nothing" and believing is inspiration and
believing results in doing! Frank hit his first
"Big Time" homerun of the 2004 season
off the first pitch in the Clubbers April 9 Opener at
the University of Illinois - North Field vs the
Chicago Roos on April 3. Later in the month of April Frank took over the game by hitting 2 Grand Slam Home Runs in a game vs the Windy City Wildcats played at the University of Illinois. Go Frank!
Gowder
attends Skinner Junior High School where he is
a popular student. Frank also is a member of an
elite basketball team where he plays Point Guard,

The
Marlins Address a Power Need!
According
to MarlinsRule.net
news source, "Krga is an interesting prospect."
He joins the Marlins after giving up baseball
for a while to play basketball during the 2002/2003
season for NCAA Division 1 Loyola-Chicago Ramblers.
He
now returns to baseball, a product of the Devil
Rays system, and "is considered a pure athlete"
who can hit for power. Krga will open the season
in Double-A (Carolina) as a shortstop who can
also play 3rd base. In 1998 Krga at age 15 played
for the Mount Greenwood, IL, Brewers and hit .470
and became a member of the CABA
15 year-old World Series All Time Player List.
Krga was selected by the Devil Rays in the 7th
round (196th player) of the 2000 Amateur Player
Draft. This draft had more than 1450 amateur players.
Good
luck to Mike in the 2004 MLB baseball season.
